Taiga Group GJacob- Blue

General (Ecology)

Taiga or the boreal forest is a forest that resides between 50 degrees north and 60 degrees north latitude. It is the largest biome in the world in terms of land covered. It covers 11 percent of the land area in the Northern Hemisphere. It is dominated by coniferous trees that extend a hundred feet in the air. It is by far the one of the most lonely biomes since it is not habitted by many humans because of  the harsh long winters and the short summers. In the summer it's a swampy and moist and in the winter its bitter and very cold.

Climate

The Taiga is a very cold place. It is has a subarctic / continental climate. Six monthes of the year the temperature is below freezing and the ground is covered in frost. The precipitation is moderate with it spread evenly throughout the year, but with it peaking during the summer. The monthly precipitaiton is between 12 - 33 inches per month.

Symbiosis

An example of symbiosi in the taiga is the brainworm and caribou. It is a parasitism relationship where the brainworm eats the brain of the Caribou. Thus the brainworm gets a food source, but the caribou eventually loses control of itself and dies.

more information on the animals is needed. if you are going to put a picture of the animals up thier, you need to give a brief description oof the animal unless you want a low grade.

I think that with the moose, you need to push that more together. it's the name of the moose and then a big space and then the information. It would be easier to follow if it was more pushed together. Also, I think you need more information on the animals. Also, give a description of the animal. Such as the size and their vital's.
